Coffin for Piet Stockmans
Belgian visual artist and porcelain designer Piet Stockmans - who recently turned 80 - commissioned the furniture designer and his former pupil Casimir to design his coffin.
Stockmans: "I want to be cremated, as fire has always been such a crucial element for me to create something. Yet I want to leave a sign of life. Casimir graduated with me and is undeniably a fantastic furniture designer. That's why I asked him to think about a piece of furniture that will have a meaning after my death"
